While investigating the disappearance of our grandfather in World War II, my family and I lost our nearly 50 year old home in a Chicago suburb to a raging, midnight fire.

Rebuilding our lives from scratch, we embark on a last ditch effort to find our elusive patriarch – and save our shattered spirits in the process -- or lose him to obscurity forever.
