Filipinos have long searched for a definitive cultural identity, marred by over 400 years of colonization by Spain, the US and Japan. A Filipina-American filmmaker returns to her ancestral homeland in an attempt to decolonize history by investigating the mysterious disappearance of her Japanese grandfather during WWII.
